After Hours

home_clubs.gif (2124 bytes)When Crobar, Karma, Smart Bar and Red Dog close up their doors on Saturday it doesn't mean you need to go home just yet. I'm happy to say that there are a handful of people that still want to party after 5:00am, I for one can say loves it! After hour clubs seem easier to find these days, just stick around till the club your at closes and pick up on conversation and listen for good after hours info.


xl.jpg (5073 bytes) -XL on 766 west Jackson corner of Jackson & Halsted has been a favorite for many since its after 5:00am opening last December. You can expect waiting in line if you show up at or around 5:30 and
6:00am, there is also a steep cover of $10.00 to get by the bouncer. Kudos for showing up after 8:00am, no cover!!!!!!
Inside XL looks like a water bottling plant, plastic bottles of water everywhere. When entering the club first thing you will notice is the bar which is made out of a glass aquarium. The VIP lounge which is a 20 x 20 feet room hangs on the front corner, best place to be if you still want to drink alcohol. If you're not invited inside the VIP lounge I guess your stuck drinking water for the rest of the morning. I estimate the crowd to be at around 150-200 with about 70% dancing their butt's off. A must go is when DJ Psycho Bitch spins till 10:00 am.
