From Dave Medusa: With great sadness we announce the closing of our beloved Shelter. Like Medusa's on Sheffield, Shelter is a historic space that holds many fond memories for all of us. I am grateful to have been included as a member of its loyal cast. Not to skip a beat, Medusa Thursdays will continue every Thursday at Karma. Karma is a beautiful multi-level club located at 318 W. Grand at Orleans in Chicago's River North. With three floors there is plenty of room to spread out (check out Karma in Review.) It allows us three rooms for musical distinction as well. Joining me again at the helm will be my friend and promotional partner in crime, John Curley. With more emphasis on style and the arts, we hope to evolve our Thursday nights into a new direction, a more creative social scene. Our commitment to musical excellence speaks for itself. Our resident djs will again be John Curley, Tom e, and Anna Lezza & To-Knee-e. Joining John will be such local favorites as djs Ralphi Rosario, Teri Bristol, Psycho Bitch, Earl Pleasure, Oscar McMillan and Mark Picchiotti, to name a few. On the international level, watch for guest appearances by djs Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Victor Calderone, Farly and Heller, and Mood II Swing's John Ciafone, all coming this spring. Naturally, expect to see your favorite club kids - Bobby Pins, JoJo, Bernardo and Billy the Kid- up to their usual drama on a weekly basis.
